Beat the Heat Ride 2010
We had so much fun last year that GWRRA AZ-K is again organizing an alternative approach for those who will be travelig to Wing Ding XXXII
in Des Moines, Iowa. Named "Beat the Heat Ride 2010" this ride is designed to avoid extreme summer heat associated with the the south western
United States in June & July. Arizona Chapter K is inviting all south western Gold Wingers, who will be heading to Wing Ding XXXII,
to join in and have some fun, meet new friends and most of all arrive in Des Moines safe.
Our plan is quite simple. Each day, going to and coming back from Wing Ding, the group will depart early each morning. Departing early will
ensure that 80 to 90% of that day's route will be ridden during the coolest part of the day.
The goal is to be at the overnight hotel early enough to hang out poolside and relax in the hotels jacuzzi, socialize with other Wingers, have a good meal, and get a good night's sleep.
